CACU Center of Animal Care and Use
It is the largest and highest animal experiment facility in Korea that can accommodate more than 30,000 rodents with a 3,300 m2 to find mechanism or therapeutic strategy of cancer and diabetes.
It was accredited by AAALAC-I (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care-International) on June 30, 2020, the second year of its establishment, and has been maintaining full accreditation.
CACU is largely composed of three zones: Animal experiment zone, breeding zone, biosafety level-2 zone and is equipped with in vivo imaging and histopathology laboratory.
And CACU strictly complies with SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for scientific experiments without
stress, distress, or pain to animals. As a result of these efforts, two tears after the establishment of facility, it was accredited by AAALAC-I.
We would like to make this excellent facility available to domestic and overseas universities, research institutes and pharmaceutical companies to contribute to researches and new drug development in Korea.

1. In vivo imaging system (IVIS)

2. Biological X-ray irradiator

- Use in radiation therapy research with rodents
- X-ray imaging and immunological research can be used
3. Gas anesthesia system
Location: Laboratory rooms in Animal experiment zone

- Gas anesthesia system for rodents
- It can be used for surgery in rodents as rapid induction and recovery of anesthesia
